Our Founder Varnavas Demetriou 1966 – 2020
Varnavas was more than the founder of Computerland Centre Ltd. He was a visionary leader whose passion for technology and unwavering commitment to excellence transformed a modest IT shop into one of Cyprus’s leading IT service providers. With a solid academic foundation in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College and an MBA in International Finance from St. John’s University in New York Varnavas returned to Cyprus with a clear mission. ‘To revolutionize the IT landscape of his homeland’
In 1995 he established Computerland in Limassol laying the groundwork for a company that would become synonymous with innovation reliability and customer-centric solutions. His leadership was characterized by integrity foresight and a deep understanding of the evolving technological needs of businesses and individuals alike. Varnavas’s legacy is not only etched in the success of Computerland but also in the countless professionals he mentored and the enduring relationships he built with clients and partners. His vision continues to guide the company’s ethos ensuring that his spirit of innovation and dedication lives on.

Spyros is a Mechanical Engineer with strong ICT background and a focus on innovative solutions. Active in Cyprus since 1995, he offers deep expertise in Systems Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Compliance, including NIS2 & DORA, guiding clients across the ‘wild’ regulatory landscape with confidence and clarity.
